New Garage Roll Up Door – All sides and exposed wood surfaces
Job specifications: Mask, cover, and protect surrounding areas. Check surfaces for mill glaze to make sure stain will penetrate properly. Lightly sand surfaces to remove mill glaze or apply and rinse Benjamin Moore Brighten 317 to remove mill glaze. Apply a full coat to saturation of Benjamin Moore Arborcoat Semi Transparent or Semi-Solid Stain and back brush for an even finish. Apply one coat of Benjamin Moore Arbor Coat Protective Clear Coat 636 to further protect the stain from UV rays and allow for easy maintenance in the future. Recommend cleaning exposed surfaces on an annual basis with Benjamin Moore Clean 318 and applying 1 coat of Benjamin Moore Arbor Coat Protective Clear Coat 636 to preserve the original stain work. It is estimated that it will take between 32 and 48 hours to complete the staining and clear coating depending on the condition of the wood (presence of mill glaze and how difficult it is to remove) and the ease of accessibility to the door (done in sections on saw horses or after the garage door is installed).
