Does it really matter all that much what type of paint you use on your home? Will a quality paint really last longer? Will you notice a difference with premium quality paint versus your standard paint?
When you go to the paint store and ask the paint representative for paint, he will ask you what type of paint you’d like. Most of us then ask, “What are my options?” You’ll usually hear, “Well, we have good paints, high quality paints and premium paints.” No paint store wants to admit that they have “cheap paint” to a homeowner, but they all have a low-grade too! In other words, there are many different types of paints available on the market. You have everything from builders-grade (ultra-cheap) to premium quality (very expensive). If you are like most homeowners, you will typically settle on the “middle-of-the-road” paint. That’s typically a safe bet! What we mean by safe is, it will do the job of getting decent paint on your walls, stucco or woodwork. However, before you commit to using the standard paint from the warehouse, depot-type stores, consider some of the following benefits to using high-quality, premium paint in the future.
Premium paints have a lot more “quality” mixed into them, like resins, acrylics, and titanium, to give them better adhesion, color retention, a better appearance when dried, and are more washable. Just because your standard house paint can says it’s washable does not make it premium. The difference is in the ingredients and the price tag. Probably the two most well-known premium paints on the market from a national standpoint would be Sherwin-Williams Duration and Benjamin Moore’s Aura. Both of these products cost over $50 per gallon but have very excellent results.
ALLBRiGHT PAINTING is now making eco-friendly, ultra-premium quality paints right here in Valencia. It’s called Home Designer and it’s much less than $50 per gallon. We know what the right ingredients are to make the best type of paint and have a revolutionary technology to make it happen. We use DuPont’s Tri-pure titanium dioxide (the highest quality of any manufacturer). The results are great coverage, washability and durability. So, for your next project, please let us have the opportunity to assist you with selecting the right paint for your project.
