Paint-It-Forward Contest Official Rules

1. Contest Overview: ALLBRiGHT 1-800-Painting ("Sponsor") is pleased to announce the Paint-It-Forward contest, offering three teachers in Los Angeles or Ventura Counties the chance to win a prize consisting of up to $10,000 in exterior painting services and a $1,000 classroom grant. 

2. Eligibility:

  • The contest is open to all current and active educators who teach and reside in Los Angeles or Ventura Counties, California.
  • Employees of ALLBRiGHT 1-800-Painting, their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, children), and household members are not eligible to participate in this contest.
  • By participating, entrants affirm they meet the eligibility requirements.

3. Contest Submission Period:

  • The Paint-It-Forward Teacher of the Year submission deadline ends on April 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM PST ("Submission Deadline"). All nominations must be received by the Submission Deadline to be considered. Late, incomplete, or invalid submissions will not be eligible for consideration.

4. How to Enter:

  • Nominations must be submitted through the official contest submission platform located on the ALLBRiGHT 1-800-Painting website.

5. Selection of Winners:

  • A total of three winners will be selected by vote of the ALLBRiGHT 1-800-Painting staff.
  • The winners will be chosen based on:
    • The number of nominations received for the teacher
    • The feasibility of the proposed exterior painting project
    • The nomination story’s quality and impact
  • All decisions made by the ALLBRiGHT 1-800-Painting staff are final and binding.

6. Prizes:

  • Three (3) grand prize winners will each receive:
    • Up to $10,000 in exterior painting services provided by ALLBRiGHT 1-800-Painting. The painting service will be limited to exterior painting services only and may not be transferred or redeemed for cash.
    • A $1,000 classroom grant to be used at the winner’s discretion for classroom supplies or resources.

7. Notification of Winners:

  • Winners will be notified by email or phone within 30 days following the conclusion of the contest.
  • In the event a winner does not respond to the notification within 10 days or cannot be contacted, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected.

8. General Conditions:

  • By participating in the contest, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and all decisions made by the Sponsor, which are final and binding.
  • The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates these Official Rules or tampers with the submission process.
  • The Sponsor also reserves the right to modify, cancel, or suspend the contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances or technical difficulties.

9. Limitations of Liability:

  • By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless ALLBRiGHT 1-800-Painting, its affiliates, and employees from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the contest or acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.

10. Publicity:

  • By entering the contest, winners grant ALLBRiGHT 1-800-Painting permission to use their names, likenesses, and nomination stories in connection with promotional activities related to the contest without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

11. Governing Law:

  • This contest is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

12. Privacy:

  • All personal information submitted in connection with this contest will be treated in accordance with ALLBRiGHT 1-800-Painting’s privacy policy.
